Irish media and wannabes are very concerned that we should take a pack of outright fascists seriously for the clicks, and to hell with the consequences.

Well 38% voted against Marriage equality and more will probably vote against removing the ban on abortion from the constitution, so there is certainly a potential market there to exploit if you throw in the odd few socialists and national chauvinists not already included in the 38%. With Sinn Fein moving into an agnostic position on the EU there is currently no party organisation to mobilise and coordinate their potential support, but that could change with the next recession or crisis.

Did you see the headlines on the stories? The only question the Irish media are asking is "How can we best mine this stuff for clicks?"

Which is pretty much how the abortion debate will go too. Balance consists of giving half a dozen people who represent no one at all, funded somewhat mysteriously, mostly related, half the airtime.
