Yes, he's the Telegraph's pet Labour "supporter". A dyed-in-the-wool neocon Blairite, except I suspect he thinks Blair is worryingly liberal.

He's also Glenda Jackson's son, so I imagine his centre-right position is some form of rejection of his mother's socialism.

It's been fun in the last few days reading the Labour writers who were scathing and dismissive about Corbyn who are eating humnble pie.

Polly Toynbee has recanted very publicly and can now be seen wandering the streets in sackcloth and ashes as penance. John rentoul, the Independent's Blair fanboy wrote a hysterically consused article saying how he just didn't understand how he could have been so wrong.

Jonathan Freedland was having none of it tho', his ridiculous and arrogant article on sunday was a masterpiece of "you wait, I'll be proved right in the end and then you'll be sorry" journalism.

How long does May have to form a government?  Days?  Weeks?  Months?

Does she need a government to start Brexit talks? If so, she has until Monday.

I don't know.  I guess it depends on the UK sending accredited negotiators and the EU accepting their credentials.

With their unwritten constitution, who knows?

The Queen is scheduled to appear in front of parliament on the 21st of June, so in practical terms I think it's days. They could re-schedule the Queen, but they'vealready done that once, and then the knifes would probably come out for May.

Their system is even more archaic then ours ... and since our system allows some dudes from Vermont enough time to ride a horse to Washington D.C. that's saying something.

To start a government, they first need to have a Queen's speech agreed. this is usually only possible if the Government has a majority either by itself, or in a formal agreement with another party.

The DUP are expected to agree to vote through a Queen's speech nd can probably be relied upon to support most of the Tory agenda. Delays are probably because they want some form of quid pro quo, such as declaring all cats to be witches familiars or the re-appointment of the Witchfinder General

In the unlikely event the Tories (May) can't swing a deal with DUP Labour gets a chance to form a government before another election is called?

That is not my understanding. As far as I am aware, there is already a government in place. Only it is one that merely claims to have the confidence of parliament, something that will be tested once they have the Queen speech.

So they can negotiate with the EU - of course, the EU may say that it is a waste of time to negotiate with a Government that is yet to test that it has the confidence of the MPs.

A Conservative and Two Liberals Swapped News Feeds--It Didn't End Well
"I browsed more of jezebel.com and cannot believe what I am reading,"  he wrote. "This site is nothing more than a ranting website for the lunatic fringe that shows NO RESPECT for anything or anybody. I have no interest in punishing myself by interacting for another second with this website."

At the New York Times, Herbon took offense at an article that referred to a Trump rally as "angry" and "xenophobic."

"I thought this activity would be interesting and fun but there is nothing fun about subjecting myself to such irresponsible drivel for another second let alone another week,"  Herbon wrote. "I will NEVER look at that Jez... website again.  Life is too short to waste another second going to a website that treats the release of celebrity nude photos  [...] with more respect than the President of the United States.

I have plenty of celebrity nude photos on my hard-drive ... faked and otherwise.  None of these photos suffer from ... or force others to suffer the consequences of ... Malignant narcissism.
