Thanks for the correction, Jerome. You could have added North Korea to your list :-) I should have been more explicit, in that the trend is new for the former soviet republics. Even for Joseph Stalin, who was above the law, and possessed the power much greater than Nicolas II, it would have been unthinkable to have his son to succeed him.
