Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

I am in and out, it's a beautiful day and it is afternoon here.  So I will be in and out to absorb and respond to the criticism I am sure is to come with this touchy subject.

"Schiller sprach zu Goethe, Steck in dem Arsch die Flöte! Goethe sagte zu Schiller, Mein Arsch ist kein Triller!"

Somewhat less controversially, I suggest the following translation... According to a report from Tagesspiegel, two Israeli F16 type fighters would have overflown a German ship and released two shots in the air.

I better do a complete version.

According to a report by "Tagesspiegel", two Israeli fighter jets of type F16 supposedly overflew a German ship and gave off two shots in the air. The fighter planes are furthermore said to have fired off infrared decoys for missile defense. The German Navy patrols before Lebanon's coast in the framework of the UN's Middle East mission.
