Christian Democrats fall in Germany

Support for the Christian-Democratic Union
(CDU) and the Bavarian Christian-Social Party (CSU)
dropped in Germany, according to a poll by FG Wahlen
released by ZDF. 33 per cent of respondents would
support either party in the next election to the
Federal Diet, down four points since July.

The Social Democratic Party (SPD) is second with 31 per
cent, followed by the Free Democratic Party (FDP) with
13 per cent, the Green Party (Grune) with nine per
cent, and the Left Party (Linke) with seven per
cent.
