A picture book...

There is a photography project here in the North East of England, which is an area with the lowest average distribution of BME communities in England. It is so small that the biggest minority is in fact Germans, or people that would be eligible for a German passport (narrowly beating the Chinese and the the Pakistani, with 10000, slightly less than 10000 and 9000 respectively).

A diversity organisation called Diversity North East, which has BBC, Arts Council, English Heritage, Government Office North East and others, hired me to make an interesting art book out of this documentary style photographs that really are to show how diverse the North East is.

There are truely stunning images and some really sweet once - but I am working on the text in the moment. The photographers are that, photgraphers and they are not writers and the commissioning comittee would like to have plenty of text, and the photographers don't want to write. and the committee changes the images they want to use or cannot agree.
So book by comittee. Sounds like fun eh? And the dead-line is approaching so fast it is not funnny.

Just came back from an interview with one of the artists, to get more text - and then I am only employed to do this 9 to 5 - you should not work in an area where your conviction is. Self exploitation...
