I will if I get my passport in time. I have a passport to travel with, but not to get back into the US with. My US passport expired, and I went to renew it last week and learned that it can take up to 12 weeks to get it. I did the express deal but even there it looks like 4-6 weeks or so, so if I can get flights reasonably with a 2 week or less lead time, I'll be there, alse I'll be in August (which, incidentally, is a great time to be in Paris - many of the parigo are all gone!
Would like to risk it but my sis got detained a few years back for the better part of a day at JFK trying to enter the US with a non-US passport, it seems that the INS frowns on US citizens entering with non-US travel docs. And I bet it's even worse now, given we're still in the throes of the "Clash of Civilizations" 11 September rhetoric over here (and perhaps will so be for the foreseeable future...) The Hun is always either at your throat or at your feet. Winston Churchill
I'd be tempted myself.
San Francisco is the only US city I have been to so far I could see myself living in.
I love VISITING New York and WORKING in Chicago, but living in either is a different matter.... "The future is already here -- it's just not very evenly distributed" William Gibson
