Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
It is becoming increasingly apprent that the corporate media have very powerful roles to play in determining what the underlying theme of ideas are allowed for america. The way they simply removed Edwards from the Democratic primary was blatant and unapolgetic, they did it because they could, because it suited them to do so.

Now we have them repeating the preferred narrative that al-Qaeda is operative in Pakistan, which will, no doubt, justify all forms of armed incursion into a sovereign nation that is, technically at least, an ally in the GWOT.

It is similar to their enthusiasm to hype up the Pentagon's fictional activity in the gulf against the Iranian's using voiceovers courtesy of Cap'n Jack Sparrow.

Or hyping the war against Iran, or against Iraq. They work entirely at the behest of their corproate paymasters because ttey know that;-
i) War sells newspapers
ii)War is profitable in many ways
iii) As Gordon Gecko might have said;-

The point is, ladies and gentleman, that greed war -- for lack of a better word -- is good.

greed war is right.

greed war works.

greed war clarifies, cuts through, and captures the essence of the American spirit.

greed war, in all of its forms -- greed war for freedom, for money, for oil, democracy -- has marked the upward surge of corporate America.

And greed war -- you mark my words -- will not only save this newspaper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA.

keep to the Fen Causeway
