Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
Great selection!

I enjoyed The Gathering's, never heard that one before. (And now found out that they are from the Netherlands.) Lots of other goodies -- lemme mention Holst's Saturn, I had to track down who presented it so well, the YouTube poster failed to give credit (Taijiro Iimori with the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra in the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall in 2007). Also, Minnie The Poocher led me on a long read on Wikipedia on Pre-Code Hollywood and the real inventor of Mickey Mouse. I haven't seen the Cakó sand-animation before...

The Gathering were a great band, one of the earliest in the symphonic metal revival. I think they still exist but Anneke is no longer there.

I'll piggyback now, 'cause my computer will explode if I do it off the main post.

rg, this one goes out to you. Tom Waits, Christmas Card From a Hooker in Minneapolis. Amazing performance.

Like Tom Waits sings, this is not the happy season for everyone so some people need catharsis. The Vandals do their thing with the tradition.

From that we want to go to joy and happiness again so listen to this exercise in irony, sadly lacking a good video: Alan Parsons in a Winter Wonderland
