But I was getting a bit sick of the thing, and figured I better just post it if I wanted it to avoid joining the long list of unfinished diaries. And apologies for some of the inconsistent spellings of proper names - Poles transliterate things their own way, I'm transliterating back sometimes, sometimes remembering to put in the standard English version.
