The Stern report greatly underestimated the potential costs.

The most likely (not even fringe most extrem model) potential costs of keeping business as usual is extinction, or possibly a few breeding pairs left in Greenland (which would eventually be aptly named for 6 months of the year) and Antarctica.
At any rate, complete and utter destruction of the Economy as we know it, and unbelievable collapse of ecosystems. GDP is a silly metric now -it wouldn't mean ANYTHING in ~150 years time.

Now try to calculate that in terms of GDP reduction...
