This has just got to be the dumbest project anywhere on planet earth right now. Even more than burning the amazon rainforest or growing wheat in australia.

They are one mistake away from crippling water systems all the way to hudson Bay. Maybe they think they're expendable .. but I bet they aren't.

... sense to grow wheat in Oz. Of course, they don't grow wheat in those places.

How about using "growing rice in Australia" as an example ... now there is one that is pure madness for a dry country. And its irrigated rice with water from a river system that sometimes flows green and backwards.
