For people who are going to the meet up - when are you arriving and leaving and which bit of Amsterdam are you staying in?

I arrive on Friday evening and leave on Monday afternoon.
Not booked accommodation yet.

I've never been to Amsterdam so I am up for exploring over the weekend either on my own or with others, but I'll leave it to people who know the place to recommend things to see and do.

In Wales, see this diary Nomad wrote when I asked him about Amsterdam before my second visit to the city. It was really useful. I love Amsterdam!

I would like to come to the meEt-up, but I'm just back from a one week break and if I go to Amsterdam, I will miss some deadlines, which I cannot afford right now.

Just booked my accommodation after much searching. Staying in the South, incidentally just around the corner from the Heineken experience.

We also stayed in the South, by one of the entrances to Vondelpark. It's a very quiet and beautiful area.

I was glad I found a decent price in the South since I want to wander around Vondelpark. Those pictures are lovely!
