Why? I don't remember anything special about it, except for the two hour delay last time I took it, apparently because of a suicide between Venice and Verona (since I was going to have a 3 hour wait at 5:30 in Dijon for a connection, this was one of the rare cases where I didn't mind the delay...)

The car begs for some major repairs, I'm afraid. Absolutely the worst timing. The check engine light came on (first time that has ever hapened) and I got that fixed, but a week later it reappeared.

Could just be a bad sensor, and it drives ok, but I'm nervous about it.

Regrettably, I will after all not be there on the 12th.

This turns out to be the weekend of my company's yearly get together, and I really should go (not that it's unpleasant to go either).

well I just went to look at prices, and apparently they won't tell me the ticket costs till the tickets for return journeys become available tomorrow. Sunday returns are just outside the available booking window.

Looks like a great meet-up and I would love to attend, but hope to be working for the first time this year and have been hit by $6K for our part of the wife's surgery and now look to be paying $7k for a new roof. Instead, I am hoping for some work to come in.

I really wanted to go to this one, but that same weekend there's a reunion of the reporters and editors I used to work with back when it was a real newspaper.

We're pretty much scattered around the country now, and get-togethers become more rare. So I'll be at that one.
