Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Very good summary.

Latin America is becoming a non-poverty area really fast. Extreme poverty is going dramatically down, for the first time... since the beginning century.

Latin America and the end of nation-nation wars are the great news of the 2000-2010 period. The world at long last really looks completely comapred with my childhood (the Berlin wall fall made Europe different, but not the world)

I only hope one day Central America (except Costa Rica), and the Sub-Sahara region will follow this path.

Acceleration of the decline of hunger levels in India and other south-east Asian countries would also be great.

A pleasure

I therefore claim to show, not how men think in myths, but how myths operate in men's minds without their being aware of the fact. Levi-Strauss, Claude
