The expression was flippant, but the answer was quite serious: the neoclassical long run is incompatible with life as we live it, so inside the neoclassical long run, we are all dead.

I've been accused of being a Marxist, yet while Harpo's my favourite, it's Groucho I'm always quoting. Odd, that.
