No, as a rail enthusiast you have to look forward (backwards and forward) to private passenger cars for the rich. And to support that, private stations--or at least spurs to private railcar sheds.

Until the special requirements of the privileged classes are taken into consideration, you aren't being serious about rail travel.

There're wedges in the Republican coalition easier to achieve than wooing the super rich with special passenger cars.
