The problem is that the phenomenon is localised. Global warming is a misnomer; it's really more accurately called Climate change as some places will get colder.

It's really that weather systems will get more energetic, there will be stronger winds, heavier rains, stronger storms, hotter summers and colder winters. But not everywhere. As europe has discovered this summer, more chaotic weather patterns in the Arctic push the jetstreams down to Africa resulting in devstating cold weathers even in otherwise warm areas.

We have  problem here with "false springs" where plants will bud up and then be hit by late cold weather.
