Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Thanks! Scotland appears to understand its wind resource is huge, and the wave (wind by-product) and tidal resources are none too shabby, either. They don't need no stinkin' nukes, and with supergrid connections to mainland Europe, plus geographic distance from Europe, they can provide electricity when the winds are not blowing at normal or better speeds in Germany and Eastern Europe. And on those rare days when it is not windy enough to export electricity, they can benefit from the export of electricity from those areas to Scotland.

Scotland also has a very significant pumped hydro potential - even using ocean water, if need be. I have not heard too much about this aspect of Scotland's potential, but that may be because I'm located some distance, geographically and culturally, from this area.

Anyway, they have done the world a great service by dissing The Donald, something that we are not allowed to do sufficiently in this country. But, Jon Stewart tries....
