Murdoch is innocent of everything.

Regrettable criminal actions by underlings, etc.

As I've suggested before, if someone - hypothetically - collected enough personal information about politicians, they'd be in a position to suggest that certain facts about their private lives might be shared in the public interest if said politicians were ever to disagree with that someone in a hypothetical way.

Obviously this has nothing to do with Murdoch, who I'm sure is entirely disconnected from anything that ever happened at any of his newspapers.
