Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

While we are at this "moment of literature" ( and I have a feeling that practically all of us here have some aspirations to write , I know I had it all my life , just never managed to make anything of it , and specially not in English) I will share  my granddaughter's first poem with you. She wrote it last night and I was impressed having in mind that she is only 11...

As i look through the window on a very rainy and stormy night
watching as my life passes by me perishing in the void of time,
screams of excitement and sadness flow through the narrow streams of space.
The universe calls to me and i answer like a hound howling back at the moon.
Drama and action fill the houses of the stars,
i rest tonight knowing that my future will be sweat.

Oh my granddaughter misspelled last word at the last line so she actually wrote sweat instead of sweet. When she read poem to me she said SWEET and my spelling is not better then her's, haha, so I didn't see it till friend directed me to it. Otherwise this poem would be to dark for her age...But maturity of her expression is still shocking to me...
