Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
My choices: Madrid, Kilkenny or thereabouts, why not Budapest?

If you really want to be outside of Core Europe, make it Minsk, Tiraspol or North Nicosia. Or London :P

Minsk has the advantage we can call the meetup a "ET's Minsky moment".

We could also do it in Milton Keynes, getting two economists for the price of one. But if we're thinking on these lines, how about Wörgl, much easier to get to (for me at least)?

There's little point in suggesting yet more alternatives likely to get just a few supporters like the existing alternatives.

As I said above it's clear that the majority prefer to stick with Paris and Oct 11th weekend makes sense from a practical point of view, availability of rooms, time to book, and it coincides with Montmartre festival. Earlier I also said I'd found a restaurant near Len's pied a terre, which has a lovely interior courtyard and reasonable prices and would be a good RV for the Fri ev.

Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner - that I moved to Nice.
