Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
Yeah...it doesn't look good...

12:33 GMT:

Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council is eyeing to impose emergency rule in connection with the situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the council's secretary, Dmitry Paruby, said as quoted by UNN news agency.

According to Paruby, the council has developed a plan "not to allow a separatist scenario" in Crimea. The secretary refused to provide any further details, but did not rule out that a state of emergency is a possible "case scenario."

However, he said that even in this case the Army may not necessarily be involved. The council has been working on inviting international partners to assist in resolving the situation in the region, Paruby added.

International partners? Is he calling NATO? They are not in NATO yet...but yes, you are right, who cares...Is he calling USA? I am not sure that right at this moment Americans are ready to start WWIII (a bit short of money and just getting out of the Middle East positioning themselves here in Asia Pacific area). Maybe he is calling Europeans? How do you feel about it?
I am not scared that much yet because news from Ukraine we can hardly hear here on TV. If there will be intervention by our "coalitions of the willing" they will start to demonize Russian long time ago ( it is simply part of strategy).
We will see. But while west is just talking a talk Russians seem to walking a walk. Those in Kiev were fast in Parliament but Russians are fast in the field.
