Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
First the opposition armed forces gained control over the parliament and other government buildings, sending the executive government fleeing, then enough parliamentarias crossed the floor. That is a putsch/coup/revolution followed by gaining legitimacy from the parliament. Which follows the basic procedure for a succesfull violent take-over, first you shoot the executive and then have the legislative and/or judicial bodies appoint you new executive. With armed guards around to make sure everyone knows how to vote.

Of course, they failed in killing the executive, which means that there are two presidents around.
