Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

The Cossacks meet the new permanent representative in the Crimea with a "pie"
...However, according to the head of the Simferopol City Organization of the Party Russian unity Mikhail Sheremet, employees of the representative office may easily get to their working places.

"We do not allow only one representative of the President: Kunitsin, because we do not agree that this person should represent interests of the Crimea residents," Shermet noted.

He also said that, according to information he received, Kunitsin is currently located on the territory of the Crimea. Protesters prepared the newly assigned permanent representative a "pie" made of tires tied with black ribbons with the inscription: "To the traitor of the Crimea."

"We want to hug and embrace him very much, we missed him so much. And I think that we will present him with the pie and will send him back to Kiev with this pie," Shermet stated.

Previously the acting President, the Speaker of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchinov appointed Sergey Kunitsin the permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the Crimea by his decree. The former head of the representative office Viktor Plakida resigned. Both decrees were promulgated by the official representative office of the acting President of Ukraine.

Kunitsin was the head of the representative office of the President in the Crimea from April to October 2010; previously he was the governor of Sevastopol.
