Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

European Tribune - Taubira resigns
the divorce between Hollande and the left is now final and irrevocable.

I can't imagine why anyone on the left should support this government in any way. That would include voting for Hollande against Le Pen.

Hollande doesn't appear to care. He's running through a series of definitive Sista Souljah rejections. The next one of which is likely to be using the state of emergency to force through an almost half-century-old useless airport project because that one too, like stripping dual nationality (shades of the treatment of Jews under Pétain), is a symbolic red line for many on the left (certainly the more ecologically-minded).

It seems he thinks he's the reincarnation of Mitterand and is therefore a wily politician. So wily he hopes to triangulate an institutional victory for the narrowing base of a conflicted and increasingly irrelevant PS.

Unemployment figures were bad again last month. Need I say more?

I used to be afew. I'm still not many.
