London | Britain's prime minister and opposition leader, both of whose parties are internally fractured on Brexit, have moved to lay out a clear battlefront on economic policy, with Labour vowing to renationalise major utility companies while the Conservative government pledged to cut corporate taxes.

The two leaders also upped the stakes on Brexit, reinforcing the prospect that Britain's parliament may be unable to agree on any kind of exit deal with the European Union and potentially increasing the odds of a no-deal hard Brexit.
