Lev Parnas in the Holy Land | Tikun Olam - part 2 |

Lev Parnas also inveigled themselves into a summer 2018 "pilgrimage" to Israel organized by Mike Huckabee.  Among those he partied with according to Haaretz were Yair Netanyahu, the prime minister's foul-mouthed son, and Ambassador David Friedman, who's pretty good with a pickax at demolishing Palestinian homes.  He joined them at a festive gathering at the Jerusalem home of Simon Falic, owner of the world's largest airport duty-free shop chain, and a mega-donor to Netanyahu's political campaigns.

Parnas and Fruman were honored with the Lover of Zion award by Young Israel, an Orthodox pro-settler group, at its annual fundraising gala. House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy was another honored guest at this shindig. He also received tainted donations from Fruman and Parnas.  Haaretz notes:

It's not entirely clear why Young Israel gave Parnas and Fruman special recognition during that event, but one explanation offered by a senior figure in the organization was that the pair "brought Rudy Giuliani" to the dinner.

de basement of intrigues
Grace, 36, was hired to help Schiff's committee investigate the Trump White House. That month, Trump accused Schiff of "stealing people who work at White House." Grace worked at the NSC from 2016 to 2018 in U.S.-China relations and then briefly at the Center for a New American Security think tank, which was founded by two former senior Obama administration officials.
Misko, 37, worked in the Obama administration as a member of the secretary of state's policy planning staff under deputy chief of staff Jake Sullivan, who became Hillary Clinton's top foreign policy official during her 2016 presidential campaign. In 2015, Misko was the director for the Gulf states at the NSC, remaining there into the Trump administration's first year.

speaking of servants, uranium, gas, rockets, elections, Putin ...

A batch of 591 pages was declassified by the Clinton Library between March and July of this year [2018], and released publicly on July 13, 2018. They are transcripts of face-to-face meetings and telephone conversations. Click to read them here.
This means that the records from 1996 were eligible for release in 2006; the 1999 documents carry classification restrictions which were due to expire in 2009. Why another ten years have passed [BWAH!] without release hasn't been noticed by American reporters nor explained. Russian analysts haven't noticed the delay. Instead, they speculate that the timing of the release now is an American plot. Georgy Bovt claims in Gazeta.ru that the release has been contrived by the Trump Administration, though Bovt isn't clear what their motive is, except to reveal Yeltsin and Clinton agreeing on US Government involvement to sway the outcome of the 1996 and 2000 presidential elections in Russia.
"The main lesson of the publication of the Clinton-Yeltsin talks," reported Pyotr Akopov in Vzglyad, "is to see once again the difference between the sovereign state which Russia is today, and the semi-colony into which it voluntarily turned itself then."  Is it possible, Bovt asked in his essay  in Gazeta.ru, for Russia to have a non-adversarial partnership with the US in principle?  His conclusion - not then, not now, not ever.

APsplainin | Anatomy of the phone call now IMPERILLING Trump's presidency

Trump says it was an innocent, "perfect" call. But some White House staffers, worried that Trump seemed to be asking Ukraine for dirt on Biden, sounded alarms. They suggested the memorandum of the call -- "telcon" for short -- be transferred into a restricted server, usually reserved for documents about covert operations.

This call, as well as others Trump has had with foreign leaders, was unusual in other ways, too. In past administrations, top foreign policy officials routinely briefed a president in person right before a call and provided written materials as well.

[U.S. intelligence Situation Room manager Obama admin, Larry] Pfeiffer said his predecessor told him that the White House stopped taping presidential calls in the 1970s when President Richard Nixon recorded 3,700 hours of conversations, transcripts of which* were used by Watergate investigators and during impeachment hearings that followed.

Pfeiffer said [Trump] White House lawyers finally approved the idea of having a duty officer, wearing a headset, sit in a separate room, and repeat what was said on the call into voice-to-text software -- again without creating any audio recording.

* not state department or WH diplomatic calls LOL; declassification of these by EO and statute are ongoing. Nixon and Kissinger: Partners in Power (2007) is a good read. More recently Obama made a present (2016) of State Dept cables declassified in 2002

Many names in IMF Credit Schema ... don't see my name entered ... how does one reap the profits of ousting a democratically elected leader? Well done Obama-Biden-Clinton-Nuland-Pyatt --- a coup-d'état that succeeded with so little bloodshed.

Does this fit with the "President Zelenskiy A Servant of Trump" meme?

Not really.

I surmise, imperial powers are theoretical in your experience despite practice to the contrary.

But every head of state has been a "servant" of the president of the USA since christ Roosevelt joined WWII and his Allies instituted the IMF. Zelenskiy merely drew the shortest straw of the lot.

I've been politically conscious since the Vietnam war, but I've been gradually learning nuance since about the 1980s.

I would imagine (I haven't researched the matter) that Zelenskiy is learning to tread a fine line between appeasing Trump and Putin. He seems to be making some progress with the latter.

Most world leaders will have given up trying to appease Trump, because of his attention span problems.

AFL: The time has come for sovereignty

"I am excited to be at this first conference of the Sovereignty series," said guest speaker Ken Abramowitz, founder of SavetheWest.com, chairman of American Friends of Likud, and general partner and co-founder of healthcare venture NGN Capital. Addressing the topic of "How to Save Western Civilization From Itself," he began with a three-minute talk on the concept of the need for devising a winning strategy in terms of national security, and then briefly discussed the key problems of Western Civilization (US, Europe, Israel, Christians and Jews) which is under attack from the "outside" and "inside" and needs different strategies for different problems.

American Friends of Likud Dinner Attracts Top American, Israeli Leaders | The Jewish Voice - Jan. 2012 |

The all-star cast included Donald Rumsfeld, Former U.S. Secretary of Defense, Israeli Lt. Gen. (ret.) Moshe Ya'alon (currently Israel's Vice Premier and Minister of Strategic Affairs), and Dr. Yuval Steinitz, Israel's Minister of Finance. With the presence of these high-profile personalities, the dinner became a platform for many informative and powerful speeches concerning the future of the State of Israel.

Rumsfeld was presented with the Menachem Begin Award for Political Courage by Robert Kravitz. In his speech, Rumsfeld called Prime Minster Netanyahu -- a previous Begin Awardee -- a "very courageous man."

Dr. Yuval Steinitz, Israel's Minister of Finance received the AFL Award for Excellence in Government, presented by Sara Biser. Steinitz, who was appointed by Binyamin Netanyahu to his finance position in 2009, is the engineer of Israel's two year budget.

In his presentation, Steinitz thanked Ken Abramowitz, the national AFL chairman, who helped him in his early years in the Knesset. He talked about how Israel was able to stand up against the crash of the U.S. and world economies in 2008 under the leadership of PM Benjamin Netanyahu.
