Just like the British support for George Bush and the lies about Iraq's WMDs, so got the Tories the British into a domestic mess where there is no escape. The Leave campaign was a fraud and rightwing capitalist policies will align with Trump's White House. Unfortunately, on foreign policy the Democrats offer historically too little deviation from Republican neocon policy. From bad to worse!

Johnson's prevarication offers a fascinating demonstration of the difference between ruling (albeit incompetently) and governing.  Even if he wins he loses.

You'd think they would have learned something. o. right. FIXED-PARLIAMENTS ACT OF 2011.

Under UK law no one but "government" negotiates foreign affairs and agrees treaties. This is the case for USA, too, where o, my, international convention on diverse subjects of law are seldom ratified and enacted in domestic law. What a surprise.
