Of course the red card was the right and obvious call, but it did finally hand the match to Wales. So this celebration of the incident with Wales fans is way out of line. All the more in that the last-minute try that gave Wales a one-point victory was borderline enough that some other refs might have refused it.

A ref at this level must not only be impartial, he must be seen to be impartial. Null points for Peyper.

(Disclaimer: I am partial to both sides in this game. When Wales plays France, I say "Let the best side win". After the match, Warren Gatland said the best side didn't win. I agree).
