Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Are you and your mom still putting in a garden? I may be able this year. Today, for the first time, with temps in the 60s, (~19C), I was able to get my lawn tractor started, after remembering to turn on the fuel valve, and mowed the weeds that are coming up ahead of the grass. This had the added advantage of mulching the leaves. Tomorrow also looks promising and I may do the back yard, etc.

My big problem is renal insufficiency. I have only about 30% renal function. Apparently my kidneys were nuked while I was recovering from a severe bone infection that set in last Feb., possibly due to the strong antibiotics needed to curb the infection.

Tomorrow also looks good for outdoor work. It has been a long cold winter and spring is late. Scottsblooms in bloom and redbud trees are just starting to bud out, along with my blueberries. Tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers would be nice.

ooo, that's sounds lovely. Gardening is soothing, I think. The more daunting the project, the more satisfying the beer. Well, that's how I used to measure it.

Funny and troubling, though, how seasonal cycles --from region to region-- are shifting those seeding maps though. Glad I'm not in the business, and I hope you ease into it as you ought to. June-July has been hott'r than hell here the past 5 years, and that's hard on summer veggies. Don't forget to take before/after snaps to upload in the coming months.

I dunno yet that I'll be doing more than reconditioning soil for the next two years. I'd like to regrade, for sure, but haven't a clue how that fits in my non-budget. That patch of Bal'more scratch that came with this row house is a hot mess! And the neighbors' is full of rag weed and what not. Lord!
