Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Are you talking about the Colorado Springs Socialists?
Colorado Springs Socialists has risen to become one of the largest revolutionary socialist organizations in the country despite being less than 2 years old, operating in the 6th most conservative city in the country, and being ruthlessly pursued by the state.

I didn't even know about them, actually. I was referring to the fact that Colorado Springs has a high fraction of federal money from the DOD and defense contractors, huge numbers of people on TriCare (service member's medical insurance) or social security (lots of retired people) or medicaid (lots of poor people), city owned utilities, no toll roads, state-owned hospital system, and a small percentage of private schools compared to pretty much any city on the East Coast. It's a classic example of people living on socialist programs while complaining about socialism.
