Obama Rips Progressives as Purists
Jimmy Dore comedy commentary

The Most Important WikiLeaks Revelation Isn't About Hillary Clinton
"What John Podesta's emails from 2008 reveal about the way power works in the Democratic Party" in case you were still wondering: Froman conferring with Podesta in re: Rubin's instructions. (Wikileaks email ID# 6684) "Harry Hopkins was his model".

(Explaining the joke: Notorious Rbt Rubin might or might not be remembered 60 years from now as Obama's "Brain Trust." Suppose that depends on who ate services in '33 --reward for service-- but didn't trust him much. Hopkins agitated for various titles, one of which, low priority WPA admin, got him high visibility but marginal political capital. FDR also rewarded Harold Ickes with PWA admin which tightly held purse strings from Hopkins' ambition to higher office as well as the CCC and utilities projects. The admins despised each other, but Hoplins got the good press. (Arthur Schlesinger, First New Deal). The current generation scarcely recalls either man or the NIRA back-biting but revere the face of "shovel-ready" recovery.)

I've been listening to the "Barry Talk" in Berlin. I cannot watch him. This is the first time since the 2004 Democratic convention that I've listened to him speak. I have read his SOTU addresses and a few of his speeches during his POTUS tenure. These I assume now as I did then were written by others.

I have not reached the end of "Barry Talk" yet. The content of this extemporaneous presentation of his political expertise is as inane as anything produced by his predecessors and his successor.

I will say by the way. You Europeans, you guys like a lot of rules and a lot of meetings. And you've got a lot of governments. It's hard to keep up sometimes. Okay. You've got the commission. You've got the parliament and you've got this, and you've got that. When I used to come over for meetings, I'd be like, Didn't I just meet with them? No, that's a different thing. This is this. And, okay. Everyone's talking for a long time. So I understand that frustration.

And that's not all. I've had to stop several times to scream in order to reach 01:17:20.

Diversity is the key to economic and political evolution.
