Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Well, six years behind the the rest of the EU in making it illegal to support Hamas. Critiziced by the Council of Europe and the Nordic Council for having weak anti-terrorism laws and not being able to assist neighbors.

Criticized by the EU for having basically no border control meaning they have no idea of who is there. The report "Evaluation of Sweden in the field of management of the external borders" was suppressed in 2017 so as not to affect the election in 2018.  The head of the Border Police estimated earlier this year that it would take at least five years to fix.

A free haven for ISIS supporters - basically being a supporter has until recently fallen under "freedom of association." Being slow (14 years) to ratify Resolution 1373.

(Granted a lot of this goes back to the "conservative" government 2006-2014. And the previous Social democratic government 1996-2006.)

(Man, it's been years since I had to html tag by hand. Good times!)

Perhaps a poor choice to mention Hamas, a resistance movement in Gaza. No chance of free movement and cross over into Europe as refugiee.

In Gaza, Hamas is a Sunni Muslim organization getting funds from Qatar and other Gulf States. The leadership of Al Qaeda is a joint Wahhabist and Muslim Brotherhood criminal terror organization.

Terrorist threat level three in Sweden. Threat of rightwing terror underrated - study.

So very fortunate the alarm raised of intrusion by a Russian mini submarine was a dud.

Does it make anyone in Europe saver in any way if you make Hamas illegal? And while there is a lot of hysterics about the border, as far as I remember there was not a single effective terrorist that sneaked over the border. I'm actually not sure if the combined effort of the European right managed to locate even a single one. Compare that to the usual pattern of three letter fuckery(eg. Manchester) or failed counter-terror ops(Berlin).
And ISIS is of course a problem, but we're also not banning the moneyed ISIS on the Gulf anywhere in Europe.

(I really like the manual html stuff. Easily macroed and won't break if you block scripts.)

Well, Rakhmat Akilov had been denied asylum and was in hiding. Police knew he supported ISIS.

Violent Extremism among Central Asians: The Istanbul, St. Petersburg, Stockholm, and New York City Attacks

Radicalization in the Uzbek and Central Asian global diaspora is becoming a growing threat to international security. In 2017, there were no fewer than four high-profile international terror attacks carried out by ethnic Uzbeks: the Islamic State-directed attack in the early hours of the new year on a nightclub in Istanbul, the St. Petersburg metro bombing in April, a truck attack in Stockholm later the same month, and a truck attack in Manhattan in September.

ISIS connection to the caliphate in the Levant? Radicalization on-line, closing borders?
