Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

2020 White House hopeful Bernie Sanders hospitalized after suffering chest pains
"'He will be resting up over the next few days. We are canceling his events and appearances until further notice, and we will continue to provide appropriate updates.' ...The medical issues led to the postponement of a $1.3 million television advertising buy in Iowa this week, the campaign's Midwest spokesman, Bill Neidhardt, said." Because dated?

Because it makes no sense to advertise for an ill candidate. Best to wait and see.

That is terribly bad news.

Even if he makes a full recovery, his campaign may be mortally wounded, and with it the best chance of ending the US empire in a somewhat peaceful way. Not that he intends to, but reforming an overstretched empire often leads to breaking it and the impulses of the person on the throne at that time has great importance.

Sanders winning the primary was always a long shot, and appearing on death's doorstep isn't a good sign.

Maybe, or maybe the Sanders supporters will move to Liz Warren.

Right now the Progressive - such as it is - vote is split between Sanders and Warren giving Biden* a clear shot at the nomination.

No, don't go away, we want a "Creepy Uncle Joe" vs "Grab'em By the P**" election!

Hilarity ensues!

It's gonna be Warren. Which is good.

Unless Trump gets impeached, during which process it appears that he intends to take Pence down with him, in which case the republicans might accidentally run somebody sensible which could be a close race.
