Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.
In fundamental religious groups illness and for sure a large pandemic is the Wrath of God ... this belief is spread wide and far! Usually the Falwells are keen to lay blame on the obvious select groups: homo's and HIV, even hurricanes and disasters are an evil where not God, but man bears responsibility.

Trump's coronavirus quarantine rhetoric fuels a dangerously politicized pandemic | NBC News |

This past week, a few thousand students and professors returned to Liberty University's main campus in Virginia despite the widening coronavirus pandemic. Even though many of the classes will be held online, students have been invited to come back to their residential halls and the faculty has been told to report to work on campus.

Falwell, who is the president of the conservative Christian school, defended his decision by insisting that "99 percent of [students] are not at the age to be at risk and they don't have conditions that put them at risk."

Church gathering religious groups, the coronavirus not withstanding ... god is on OUR side and Trump is GREAT!

Covid-19 pandemic: Brazil Undone -- "History will not absolve Bolsonaro"

Brazilian children should return to school and young people should return to work. Businesses were to reopen, since the politics of quarantine was `a thing for cowards'. According to the speaker of the lower house, Rodrigo Maia, Bolsonaro was under pressure from investors after the market in São Paulo crashed, losing 52 per cent of its total value between 17 January 17 and 20 March - the biggest drop in the world, according to Goldman Sachs.

Feminists? Gays? How boring. If people haven't figured out already that God doesn't like them, why does He think that Covid will help? The Jews, on the other hand, have figured it out.

Similar thing happened in France: an Evangelical church gathering in Mulhouse, the third week of February, gathered about 2000 people in close contact for a whole week. They then came back home propagating the virus all over France, including Corsica and all the way to French Guyana.

To this day the region of Mulhouse and Colmar (south of Strasbourg) is one of the largest number of cases in ICU in the nation (a few dozen patients were transferred to western regions by high-speed train to free up IC beds). This Evangelical gathering also explains other clusters of high number of cases in Corsica and in the middle of the Alpes.

Evangelical gathering in Mulhouse: faithful contaminated everywhere in France and up to Guyana - France 24, 3 March 2020

This week of fasting and prayer, organized by the Christian Open Door, one of the largest Protestant evangelical churches in France, brought together around 2,000 people from all over France, including the overseas departments and neighboring countries, in Mulhouse from 17 to February 24. Thirty have been contaminated, according to a first count.

On Wednesday, the Haut-Rhin prefecture had announced the contamination of 10 people in the department in connection with this event, calling on participants to be vigilant and to contact center 15 in the event of symptoms.

On Thursday, what the prefecture feared became reality, with cases identified among church believers returning to many areas, some of which have been spared the epidemic so far.

Bolsonaro seems to be trying to generate herd immunity which can only benefit the rest of mankind...  What a guy! (Now if only they would stop burning down the Amazon rain forest...)
