Philips director Van Houten was recently on Dutch Newshour to explain why there were not enough ventilators to help support the addition of a few hundred ICU in Dutch hospital. People were dying!

He calmly explained that didn't understand the lack of urgency by Western Nations and the U.S. Philips Asia had been on the forefront when the epidemic started and delivered thousands of ventilators. ... Trump prevented export of the needed units to Europe ... Philips promised to start local production and to react to the question when the units for The Netherlands could be delivered? Van Houten was reluctant to answer ... when the interviewer persisted, he answered the 200 ventilators were ordered a fortnight ago!
