With no local support Massoud pledged allegiance to Taliban shortly, while Amrullah Saleh still vows to continue fight. He did get an op-ed in Washington Post on short notice, so he must think he's a big player still.

How he's going to keep on fighting without much of a support in the middle of a country really tired of war is anyone's guess.
