...To support this work, I have signed new international returns agreements with India, Albania, Serbia, Nigeria, and Pakistan, with work underway to negotiate more agreements and to remove more people who should not be in this country and who have abused our hospitality. At the same time, we have strengthened our country's proud record of providing sanctuary and refuge to those in genuine need by establishing safe routes, including for NOs, Afghans and Ukrainians. Britain has always been a beacon for freedom and democracy, and I have been proud to work with you over the last three years to make that light shine brighter. All this has been achieved despite the relentless efforts of our political opponents, and left-wing activists, lawyers and campaigners who have sought to block these measures, regardless of what the majority of people in the UK want. While they stand up for the criminals, terrorists, people smugglers, Those with no right to be in the UK, and people who threaten public safety and would do our country harm, we have never faltered and never stopped doing what is right to protect the public....

OTD in 1939 Poland, as a complete surprise to us, suddenly ceased to exist so we "entered to restore or order and protect our compatriots abroad". We ended up committing crimes against humanity. Definitely not an invasion.Imagine that happening today pic.twitter.com/6mpUhpp4jd— Darth Putin (@DarthPutinKGB) September 17, 2022

Zhao Lijian: Slave trade was an original sin of the US. Slavery remained legal in the US for a third of the country's 246-year history. According to Statista LOL!, a German statistics company, there were nearly 700,000 Black slaves in the US in 1790, and the number exceeded 3.95 million in 1860. The US issued the Emancipation Proclamation in 1862. However, today, 160 years later, African Americans still find themselves not emancipated from the yoke of racial discrimination. Statistics show that African Americans, who account for less than 13% of the US population, are more than twice as likely to be shot by the police....

German-Soviet Boundary and Friendship Treaty - Wiki
When, on August 23rd, I saw the inconspicuous Havas message on the third page of the Eclaireur du Sud-Est, saying that a treaty of non-aggression had been signed between Germany and the Soviet Union, I began beating my temples with my fists. [...] I tried to explain to her what it meant - to the world in general and to me and my friends in particular. What it meant to that better, optimistic half of humanity which was called the Left because it believed in social evolution and which, however opposed to the methods employed by Stalin and his disciples, still consciously or unconsciously believed that Russia was the only promising social experiment in this wretched century.
I understand that there are quite a lot of people on the left who have quite strong vestiges or echoes of that sentiment about Russia (I can't honestly say I understand why). But I have a question for anyone who recognises themself in that category :
Is there anything that a Russian leader could do, which would provoke that beating my temples with my fists moment? It is rightly acknowledged that people of faith have no monopoly of virtue - Queen Elizabeth II
