The president has authority to rule upon points of order, which can be put to a vote if a member of the council challenges it. They also name members of various subsidiary organs, and are generally responsible for maintaining order. Since November 2000, the president has generally prepared background papers for on the topic being discussed.

Russian UN Security Council presidency on April 1 is a bad joke. Russia has usurped its seat; it's waging a colonial war; its leader is a war criminal wanted by the ICC for kidnapping children. The world can't be a safe place with Russia at UNSC #BadRussianJoke #InsecurityCouncil— Dmytro Kuleba (@DmytroKuleba) March 30, 2023

The U.N. children's agency UNICEF said it has also been in contact with Russian officials about the children, but spokesman Kurtis Cooper told The Associated Press that UNICEF "has not received feedback on our offer to facilitate reunifications processes." Refugees International denied any contact with the Russians -- despite Lvova-Belova's claim it had contacted her. [...]

Same condition for Western athletes with display of warmongering attributes of flags from UA or USA?
Most likely the top athletes are on tour and reside in Monaco, Nice, Florida or Bermuda anyway. 'Sapere aude'

Most International Sports Organizations have a historic precedents of corruption and abuse of human rights ... they are quite similar to guidance of states. Authoritarianism, fascism, Qatar, Argentina, Germany and the three big powers set a bad example. 'Sapere aude'
