Many in Ukraine, including Azov movement members, are circulating today the post Farion wrote when anti-Maidan journalist Oles Buzyna was assassinated by far rights thugs linked to SBU. She celebrated that murder.

Last week, 3 journalists were killed: Oles Buzina and Sergey Sukhobok in Kiev and Olga Moroz in the Khmelnitsky region, Western Ukraine. Former member of the Ukrainian parliament, Oleg Kalashnikov was shot dead in Kiev as well. In addition, in the past few months, a number of former Ukrainian government officials died in a mysterious way.

Four of the top five countries where press freedom deteriorated the most are in Europe. Malta, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Serbia all fell substantially.
The watchdog voiced particular concern about the murder of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia in Malta, followed by the killing of investigative reporter Jan Kuciak just five months later in Slovakia.
