US raid on home killed 11 family members

By Amer Amery

03/16/06 - TIKRIT, Iraq, March 15 (
Reuters) - Eleven members of an Iraqi family were killed in a U.S. raid on Wednesday, police and witnesses said. The U.S. military said two women and a child died during the bid to seize an al Qaeda militant from a house.

A senior Iraqi police officer said autopsies on the bodies, which included five children, showed each had been shot in the head. Community leaders said they were outraged at the killings and demanded an explanation from the U.S. military...

Shot in the head?

Chris, my partner in dissentience - has been penning away most of the eve... in trying to grasp in words what you will see below in images.

This is all hyperbole and blown out of proportion. Right? How the fuck would you feel if that were your own dead baby with its head blown apart?

You wouldn't want the children to grow to become "military-age males", now would you?

to eating babies.

I've reached a 'But why is anyone surprised?' point on the outrageometer.

As long as Bush is in charge, the death, the torture, the rage, the grief, the institutionalised lies, the formal support from on high for abuse and hatred, and the demonic disregard for sanity, dignity and compassion - they're all going to continue. One man's neurotic self-loathing has become a planet-wide emotional illness.

The only positive symptom is that even with the Right Wing Noise Machine still yelling in everyone's ear in the US, there are belated signs of sentience and sanity over there.

I just hope it's not too late.

I sit here, watch these pictures and don't know what to say. But I know I want to say something. Something that matters, something that will make us all think that we can change it...

Alas, my 23-year old mind cannot give a birth to any idea besides the understanding of hopelessness...

On the other hand, I believe I've read enough books about manipulation of media. Even the pictures can lie sometimes, if taken out of context, or presented in a different context.
