FA Cup

by observer393 Sun Apr 23rd, 2006 at 02:37:55 PM EST

As an american i am not expected to enjoy real football (soccer to us septics). Howver, tonight I watched the FA cup semi-final between West Ham United and Middlesboro. When I was living in the UK I spent a lot of time in East London and went to both West Ham home and away games. It was one of the most enjoyable periods of my life and I grew to love the cameraderie of supporting a local albeit not entirely succesful side.
Well tonight I watched West Ham from asia live on the TV. West Ham who struggled to get promotion from a division down only a year ago won the game thanks to a well taken goal from Marlon Harewood and are now in the FA Cup final against rich football giants Liverpool who are accustomed to winning all kinds of silverware. No doubt the final will be hard but I as a septic will be willing on the team supported by a great people from a great town.
Come on you Irons!

It'll be Liverpool against West Ham? I'm not following... But if so, that should be a interesting match!

Hope you stick around for the World Championships, too. The board will be in need some serious Taunt Threads, if you'd ask me...
