Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Israeli journalist Gideon Levy speaking in Dundee, Scotland

Here's one for the Euros, at least those who are interested in peace activism, justice, and humanity in Palestine.

Gideon Levy is an outspoken Israeli journalist, who addressed an audience in Dundee on Monday, August 16 as part of a Scottish speaking tour which was organised by the pro-Palestine group, the Scottish Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

In this video, Levy talked about Israel's abandonment of the pretense of diplomacy in favor of a policy of provocation and raw military power, with the ultimate aim of denying Palestinians any chance of forming their own independent state. Does anyone wonder why Abbas, the Palestinian leader at this time, has little faith in the peace process which is being encouraged by Obama? Obama in just less than a year has turned himself from the savior of Middle East peace into Netanyahu's poodle (a phrase used by Booman, which fits Obama's latest obsequience toward Israel).

Levy is really talking about the racist Likud agenda of the present government, which will screw Palestinians, and leave them living in a group of Bantustans inside of a Greater Israel, that will eventually be declared.

Gideon's latest book is entitled The Punishment of Gaza (published by Verso).

My difficulty with Obama is that he is a smart, astute politician, and he knows very well what it is that he is pushing the Palestinians into. When it comes to the Middle East, American does not have a leader or president. We have a cow-tow suck up individual who reminds us all of Tony Blair.

Imagine Tony Blair running the US. He's the Middle East envoy for the EU who has never been to Gaza. In the end, we must blame the EU if not the quartet as a whole.

You're not another one of those Euro-posters, are you? Might have guessed. Now I know why no Americans have joined the Euro-clique, the community, except for one Bostonian. However, you should be aware that Boston is not really part of the US and hasn't been for some time. That's why she is so big on Euros and why you can have her.

Yes, just took your link. It seemed to be an old frontpage. Baffled.

Huh? I see the current front page. If you're seeing an old front page, you should probably clear your DNS cache.
