Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

Yellow-Green Mountain State

It's spring time! The leaves are out here in the big city, but Vermont is only on the verge of becoming verdant as seen along the state's railroads past and present.

The yellow-green leafed trees are massing in the valley ready to storm the hill.

Fiddleheads! Craning their necks like passengers on a ship, hearing only the sound of the fast moving creek all around them and wondering why they so suddenly shuddered to a halt.

The disappearing bridge.

A lone ant on a crusty boxcar. Black fly season is also just beginning.

Flowers and waning power at the Amtrak station in Brattleboro.

Brown too: maple syrup and mud.
