Well the situation here in eastern Finland still looks like this:

and this:

pretty hard to imagine that it will once again, ever again, look like this:

Beautiful...
Yes I've spoken to my aunty in Stockholm few days ago and she told me that winter has come back there

We are now melting nicely here in jolly old Borgå - downtown has a few traces. Our roads and garden paths are snow free, but the garden itself still looks like the bulk silos of the Medellin Cartel.

We seem set for a few days and nights on the plus side, so hopefully winter will be put behind us soon.

Now the question is, after a conference day with cultural bureaucrats, should I go to the free networking bar and dinner tonight, plus the final farewell performance of a long-lived band called Los Tumpelos, or watch a few Downton Abbeys (that were slipped in to my regular delivery of mind-expansion in the hope, of the dealer, that I would be mainlining before episode 3.) He will be disappointed - I find them irritatingly like Lost - itself the epitome of overemotional multiple personality disorder picaresque.

So when I say I am seriously considering spending time with people who handle alcohol badly, and may even dance luridly to the chugging mineralness of LosT (you see a meme developing here?), it doesn't cast 3rd millennium English television in a particularly good light.

Perhaps I'll just go for the dinner and sneak out before the high jinx. The fact that cultural institutions in Finland are 70% skirted, means that  all kinds of disasters could befall the trousered.

Ah, well, such choices you have before you. Why not just be a glutton and do some of all of the above?

Mission accomplished, but DVDs will be set aside for tonight. Sleep seems extremely attractive at this moment.

Took a walk today around the neighborhood and made a few photos. This is the prettiest place I've ever lived.
