Megalomania Thrives in the West

by Oui Mon Feb 12th, 2024 at 04:49:00 PM EST

European leaders knew what the the four Trump years meant for the EU, NATO and the threat coming from America.

Joe Biden took the EU for a ride by weaponizing NATO into an aggressive stand vs the Russian Federation while turning a blind eye to the oppressive regime of Israel with settler PM Bennett and the return of criminal Netanyahu. On both fronts the global community is watching in horror the developments of war, massacres and genocide.

The countries in the European Union were bowing to Donald Trump and repeated selling out the founding principles of the EU once Joe Biden started his campaign of bullying individual states and continued the process of undermining the sanctity and sovereignty of Europe which includes from historic viewpoint, Western Russia.

I personally don't give shit about Trump, HRC, Netanyahu or Biden ... my worry are the developments that give rise to these megalomaniacs in power. Similar to the rise of fascism in the 1930s embodied by Generalissimo Franco, Benito Mussolini, and Adolf Hitler it took nearly a decade to mature into the evil it represented.

So too the historic developments after the Fall of the Berlin Wall, the Western world squandered the opportunities to build on a peaceful world. Complete lack of vision, creativity and courage to set aside dogmatism and work for a better world.

I have been an optimist all my life ... that came to an end just before the SARS COVID-19 pandemic.

With both Trump and Biden advocating AmericaFirst! multilateralism came to an end. Both shunned the intention of the United Nations and followed in essence the John Bolton policy to dismantle or obstruct its work for the U.S. to determine by themselves how the world should be run ... the fool's attempt of course will fail as its coercive diplomacy ... another term would by fascist dictatorship ... NWO my a$$.

I am truly dumbfounded how the European Union 🇪🇺 lacked unity to build on its founding principles. Looking East for historic defeats and suffering while missing the opportunities gifted by the generation that fought and ended fascism in 1945.

The horror has returned to the European continent of its own choosing ... no it was not imposed by Putin or Russia. The war rhetoric inside NATO military command started in earnest after 9/11, the follow-up of the ignorant "War on Terror" introduced by a "Clash of Civilization", Neocon warmongers and the breaking point NATO's Bucharest Summit which was in essence a declaration of war on Russia.

Effective control of the corporate media, complicity of Big Tech came together with White House narrative towards military aggression and dismantling diplomacy to reach a compromise. War, not Peace ☮️ was the new standard of highly funded rightwing "think-tanks".

Western Civilization: Chapter 9 Fascism

The major political movements of the nineteenth century seemed to have succeeded: everywhere in Europe nations replaced empires (nationalism). Europe controlled more of the world in 1920 than it ever had or ever would again (imperialism). In the aftermath of the war, almost every government in Europe, even Germany, was a republican democracy based on the rule of law (liberalism).

The old order of monarchs and nobles was rendered all but obsolete, with noble titles holding on as nothing more than archaic holdovers from the past in nearly every country.  In addition, of course, technology continued to advance apace.

Despite the success of all of those movements, however, with all of the hopes and aspirations of their supporters over the last century, Europe had degenerated into a horrendous and costly war. The war had not purified and invigorated the great powers; they were all left reeling, weakened, and at a loss for how to prevent a future war.

Science had advanced, but its most noteworthy accomplishment was the production of more effective weapons. The global empires remained, but the seeds of their dissolution were already present.

History basically repeating itself ...greed for power and exploiting other nations and peoples ... the "Age of Modernism" ... cloning people, shaping minds into zombie behaviour ... an introduction into future of AI and robots.

Egypt Threatens Netanyahu with End of Camp David Peace Accords if he Invades Rafah | Informed Comment |

It is being widely reported based on press leaks that the Egyptian government of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has privately threatened Israel. Cairo is said to have warned that the 1978 Camp David Peace Treaty will be suspended "with immediate effect" if the government of Binyamin Netanyahu tries to take over the Philadelphi Corridor at the Gaza-Egypt Border and if it expels the Palestinians of Gaza into Egypt's Sinai Peninsula at the Rafah border crossing as a result of an invasion of Rafah City. Israel attempted to convince an Egyptian delegation to Tel Aviv on Friday that Cairo should cooperate with the Israeli war plan, but allegedly was rebuffed.

The peace treaty has been the cornerstone of Egyptian-Israeli relations for nearly half a century.

The Egyptian government had not said much in public about these reports until yesterday. Mahmud 'Abd al-Raziq of al-Khalij 35 reports">reports that on Sunday, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a stern warning to Israel that any operation in Rafah City would have "severe consequences." The communique said that Egypt "continues its contacts and actions with various parties in order to arrive at an immediate ceasefire, enforce calm, and achieve an exchange of hostages and prisoners." That is, Egypt is seeking another Israel-Hamas agreement, along with the US and Qatar.

Trump's criticism of Israel's Netanyahu draws strong condemnation from GOP rivals | AP News - 13 Oct. 2023 |

While Trump and Netanyahu were close allies for years, the former president turned on the embattled Israel leader after Netanyahu congratulated then-President-elect Biden for winning the 2020 election while Trump was still trying to overturn the results. In interviews for a book about his Middle East peace efforts, Trump, according to its author, used an expletive to describe Netanyahu and said he believed the Israeli leader never really wanted to make peace.

Ari Fleischer, the former White House press secretary who serves on the board of the Republican Jewish Coalition, said he wished Trump would "let his personal grievances with Bibi, whatever they are, slide for now."

"I think it's just a reflection that for Donald Trump, everything is personal," Fleischer said. "But despite it, I'll never forget and no one should forget Trump has been good for Israel." Trump has long said that he did more to support Israel than any previous president, pointing to his decision to move the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal.

Former President Trump said Israel "wouldn't have had to be prepared" if he was president, implying the U.S. would have detected and stopped a Hamas attack Saturday that sparked a war between Israel and the militant resistance group in Gaza.

"We have to protect Israel, there's no choice," Trump said. "And why do we have to do it? [Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] has been hurt very badly because of what's happened here. He was not prepared. He was not prepared, and Israel was not prepared. And under Trump, they wouldn't have had to be prepared."
The fighting in Israel and Gaza has killed more than 2,000 people on both sides of the conflict, including hundreds of civilians.

The attacks came as a surprise to the Israeli military, resulting in Hamas militants fighting within Israel's borders for days before being repelled and sparking criticism of Netanyahu and Israeli conservatives.

"Who would have thought that their intelligence wouldn't have been able to pick this up?" Trump said. "Thousands of people were involved. Thousands of people knew about it and they let it slip by. That was not a good thing for [Netanyahu] or for anybody."

Soviet Union: The Case of the Missing Man | 21 Nov. 1983 |

Before the march-past began, virtually all eyes in Red Square's diplomatic enclosure were turned to the dark red, 35-ft.-high Lenin Mausoleum. There, the aging leadership of the Kremlin, dressed in look-alike dark gray overcoats and fedoras, shuffled slowly into line to review the parade. The face that every spectator sought was that of President and Communist Party General Secretary Yuri Andropov, 69, whose absence at a celebration two days earlier had been officially explained by the report that he was suffering from a "severe cold."
