Welcome to European Tribune. It's gone a bit quiet around here these days, but it's still going.

A Practical Low-Carbon Future

This is the video and transcript of a presentation to the most recent annual Green Builder's Sustainability Symposium by Michael Barnard
http://cleantechnica.com/2024/05/06/green-builder-sustainability-symposium-presentation-slides-trans cript/

It is the clearest presentation I've yet seen of what is technically feasible and happening now.  Basically, the energy solution for greenhouse gases (with many, many additional benefits) is efficiently electrifying everything.  It will go about 80% (thanks, Pareto) towards cleaning up the mess our species, homo sap sap (that sap!), has made.

Now, how do we speed it up?

If the USAmerican news media spent one minute a day explaining these available, affordable, and practical energy solutions one by one from now until 2030 (or as long as necessary), that just might accelerate the energy transition we need.  Sometimes I believe that the incessant media focus on Trmp and party politics is a distraction to keep us from recognizing the "insurmountable opportunities" (thanks, Pogo) that surround us.

"Our" media is almost always corporate media.  They are not us and their interests are not often ours.
