Biden Visit to Kyiv ... Ukraine Rail

Russia hits Ukraine's power grid with 'most massive' attack of the war | ABC News |

Russia launched about 200 missiles and drones at Ukraine, most intense attack striking energy facilities nationwide, Kyiv said, while neighbouring NATO member Poland reported a drone had probably entered its airspace.

Power cuts and water supply outages were reported in many areas, including parts of Kyiv, as officials said the attack -- two-and-a-half years into Russia's full-scale invasion -- targeted power or other critical infrastructure in at least 10 regions.

Russia stepped up its strikes on the Ukrainian power grid in March in what Kyiv has said looked like a concerted effort to degrade the system ahead of next winter, when people need electricity and heating most.

What has been the gain for the West? Stop the fu*king war NOW.

Biden Statements on path to victory

As I told President Zelenskyy on August 23, U.S. support for Ukraine is unshakable.

We were steadfast by refusing to come to a negotiated deal on the national security of the Russian Federation as NATO expanded, decision made by Bush/Cheney in 2008, and has unfolded according to plan.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy prepared a major shake-up of his government ahead of a visit to the United States later this month. Among multiple resignations was Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin who was in charge of weapons production and is expected to take up another defence role. More than one-third of cabinet positions are now vacant.

Strategic Industries Minister Alexander Kamyshin, Justice Minister Denys Maliuska, Ecology Minister Ruslan Strilets, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna, and Deputy Prime Minister and Reintegration Minister Iryna Vereshchuk submitted their resignations to the Ukrainian parliament, Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk reported on Sept 3.
Vitalii Koval, head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU), also submitted his resignation nine months after being in office.

Zelenskyy spoke on the phone with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and asked him to step up advocacy among Ukraine's Western partners to allow Kyiv to attack military targets deep inside Russia.

At least 51 people were killed and 271 injured when two Russian ballistic missiles hit a military academy and a nearby hospital in Ukraine's central town of Poltava in the deadliest single attack in the war this year. The missiles hit shortly after the air raid alert sounded when many people were on their way to a bomb shelter, the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.

A Moscow court on Tuesday extended the detention of French researcher Laurent Vinatier who is accused of failing to register as a "foreign agent" in Russia and collecting military information of value to foreign intelligence agents. France has designated Vinatier as "arbitrarily detained".

Zelensky to Present Victory Plan to White House

Will Volodymyr meet nemesis rival former president Trump on his stay in Washington ... excellent opportunity for another coup d'état on the streets of Lvov Kyiv.

Zelensky to present US with victory plan in September

The president said that the proposal would also be presented to Vice President Kamala Harris and ex-President Donald Trump, the two candidates for the upcoming November presidential election.

Speaking at the Ukraine 2024 Independence forum in Kyiv, Zelensky said that the ongoing Kursk incursion was one of the parts of this plan.

Kyiv has long argued that restrictions on the use of long-range weapons are stifling its war effort, while Western partners believe that allowing Ukraine to hit deep into Russian territory with the weapons they provide could be a cause for escalation.

The U.S. and U.K. still prohibit Ukraine from using U.S.-made ATACMS missiles and British-made Storm Shadow missiles for strikes deeper inside Russia.

Ukraine has dismissed these arguments and has ramped up pressure to lift the ban in recent weeks following the Kursk incursion on Aug. 6.

’No compromise with Putin': Zelenskyy says to present plan to Biden to end war with Russia | ANC - 27 Aug 2024 |

Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that the war with Russia would eventually end in dialog, but that Kyiv had to be in a strong position and that he would present a plan to U.S. President Joe Biden and his two potential successors.

Not giving away 30% of occupied territory ... that's true ... lost to Russia by running battles since the staged coup d'état of February 2014 under supervision of VP Joe Biden and 'long gone' Eastern Europe strategist Victoria Nuland.

She indeed fu*ked the EU. And unwittingly the Ukrainians themselves as burial ground expands with frontier closing in with shrinkage of land surface.

Speaking in Kyiv, which was full of dignitaries in town for the Crimean Platform Summit, Zelensky accused the West of being "afraid" to even help Ukraine shoot down incoming missiles as it has done with Israel.

Zelensky added that he will meet Biden "this month" to present his "victory plan" on how to end the war with Russia.
