Is Germany Tipping Towards Fascism .. Again?

A well written analysis I can fully agree with ..

Fascism: Making Xenophobia Top Priority In German Election

Is Germany Tipping towards Fascism? | RosaLux Stiftung |

This year, the far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) garnered around 30 percent of the vote in the German state elections in Saxony, Thuringia, and Brandenburg, becoming the most or second-most popular party for the first time in history. As soon as these results were announced, Benedikt Kaiser, one of the leading intellectuals of the party's neo-fascist identitarian wing, reiterated the goal of delegitimizing all of the established parties and "pulverizing" the CDU/CSU alliance, stripping it of its role as a "bulwark of the state" and clearing the way for the rise of the AfD.

The election represents a further stage in authoritarian, populist mobilization in Germany: the conservatives (CDU/CSU), Sahra Wagenknecht's BSW, and relevant sections of the media establishment all instrumentalized a brutal stabbing in Solingen on 23 August for the purposes of a racist law-and-order campaign. Striving to outdo one another, they called for the abolition of the right to asylum, as well as for border closures and tougher treatment of refugees -- proposals aimed at "mastering" a migration policy that had allegedly veered "out of control".

All of this occurred just months after the revelation of the AfD's fantasies of remigration had been met with widespread indignation. It also occurred just prior to highly symbolic state elections, which were framed both as a litmus test for liberal democracy and as a popular verdict on Germany's ruling "traffic-light" coalition. The result: significant gains for the AfD.

More than an Anti-Left Conjuncture

Fewer and fewer people trust politicians to find the right answers to the challenges that loom in our collective future. This is true for all generations.
One relevant shift consists in the fact that the AfD has now also succeeded in gaining a foothold among people under the age of 30.

Ever since the COVID pandemic, the sense that we live in a world characterized by permanent crisis in which it is no longer possible to plan for the future has only deepened, with the Ukraine war and the ensuing inflation have only reinforcing this impression. These crises have exposed government priorities, revealing how they ignore the lived realities of many people, and rendered palpable the limits of the political system.

Although these feelings and experiences could potentially be given a left-wing inflection, at the moment only the Right is managing to capitalize on them. They are stirring up fears of individual and collective ruin, of increasing competition on the housing and labour markets, and are preaching "national strength" in a crisis-ridden world that many perceive as chaotic. Indirectly, the AfD promises that control, order, and sovereignty can be regained by means of a war -- both culturally war and literally -- in the spirit of "Germany and the Germans first".

AfD getting funds from very wealthy pro-Israel sponsors .. who would have guessed ... 🥵

Common interest :: spreading HATE

Rosenwald's site, the Gatestone Institute, publishes a steady flow of inflammatory content about the German election, focused on stoking fears about immigrants and Muslims. In one of the most recent posts, the website warns of the construction of mosques in Germany and claims that Christianity is becoming "extinct." The Gatestone posts, which are often translated into German, are regularly promoted by AfD politicians and AfD-related social media groups to justify the party's crusade against Chancellor Angela Merkel's open-door refugee policy.

Jewish Donations to Euro Islamophobia

    Incitement to 🔥 HATE ⁉️

Covered aspects quite often especially talking about Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Dutch politician Geert Wilders. Created by military interventions in the Middle East, especially Iraq, Libya, Sahel region and Syria to overthrow Assad. A strong PR campaign and focused social media platforms covered and directed the war narrative of the Pentagon, Downing Street 10 and those in the coalition parroting the narrative within NATO allies.

The AfD is full of antisemites. Nonetheless, it fully supports Israel.

The AfD's support of Israel is hinged on hypocrisy. Despite their history of antisemitism and controversial foreign policy stances, on this topic, they seem to be in agreement with the coalition government. The reasons for this are multi-faceted, but ultimately boil down to their Islamophobic and anti-immigrant agenda; using the October 7th attack to further demonise Palestinian and Arab people, including those living in Germany.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz frequently reinforces his support of Israel, both through words and weaponry, and refers to the `Staatsräson': the responsibility Germany has to protect the state of Israel after the Holocaust. Due to this concept, it may be considered too risky for any political parties to speak out about the genocide in Gaza, as there is a terrifying culture of censorship in contemporary German politics. Yet, the AfD's support of Israel predates October 7th, for example, supporting Donald Trump's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital. (This support is not mutual; Israel has cut all ties with the AfD.)

An overview ...

Same tactic used by Mark Rutte leading the rightwing conservatives VVD party in The Netherlands ... result a majority for extremist Geert Wilders in parliament and major voice in new coalition ... ruling the Dutch ... HATE.

Non-scenically to make immigration policy the central issues of meeting today's challenges ... tunnel vision and propaganda.

➡️
What backlash ... that is who he is and has been for years ... Merkel strongly disliked his tactics ... not the man Germany is in need of right now.

German blueprint that led to WWII and the Holocaust

Rise of the Nazis and Der Führer | Holocaust Explained |

The Nazis' ideology rested on several key ideas, such as nationalism, racial superiority, antisemitism, and anticommunism. These ideas were popular in Germany in the 1920s and early 1930s, as the economic and political situation fluctuated and then, following the Wall Street Crash in 1929, quickly deteriorated.

In these uncertain times, the Nazi Party appeared to offer hope, political stability and prosperity. In 1932, the Nazis became the biggest party in the Reichstag , with 37.3% of the vote.

Shortly afterwards, on 30 January 1933, Hitler was appointed Chancellor. The Nazis quickly consolidated their power, taking advantage of the Reichstag Fire of February 1933 to begin their reign of terror. Whilst primarily aimed at political enemies, the infrastructure of camps and institutionalised torture used in these initial months provided the groundwork for the camp system which later facilitated mass murder. Although not the subject of mass arrests in the same way that many political prisoners were initially, Jews were quickly targeted by the Nazi regime.

The Nazis' persecution of Jews started with exclusionary policies, eliminating Jews from certain professions and educational opportunities and encouraging them to emigrate. As their power became more secure, the Nazis quickly escalated to more direct persecution, such as the Nuremberg Laws of 1935 which stripped Jews of their citizenship and Kristallnacht (an antisemitic pogrom ) in 1938. This escalation of oppression continued to intensify and radicalise until the outbreak of war, where it quickly became more lethal, and, eventually, genocidal.

Radicalization of far-right to blame aliens for their ills ... shortcomings of inequality inherent to pure capitalism will not be addressed .. blame green transition ... refugees from our wars across the globe are not our responsibility ... dumping ground for our toxic chemicals through bribery ... extraction of critical metals  ... people will revolt .. voting Trump/Zuckerberg/Musk - Hungary Orban - Italy Meloni - EU VDL - Dutch Wilders/Rutte - in Austria Kickl - in Germany AfD Weidel - in France Le Pen - in UK BreXit/Farage - last but not least, Israel Netanyahu-Smotrich. These are the so-called western democracies run by oligarchs.

I do like to mention my dad who warned me about becoming active in political parties or leadership ..

In the 1930s my dad wanted to see what was de happening in Hirler's Deutschland ... from the North Sea coast of Holland he cycled along the Rhine River, stopped over in key cities like Düsseldorf and Heidelberg and collected postcards along the whole trajectory up to Basel in Switzerland. My dad wanted to be informed but develop his own opinion. Great respect, he was a courageous man and loving father.
